    Tempeh
Ask about our new delicious tempeh dish.
Tempeh is a fermented soy product that is a game-changer for those following a vegetarian or vegan diet. It’s also an appealing protein source for anyone trying to make moves towards a more plant-based diet. While it’s often confused for tofu, tempeh is very different.
Consuming tempeh as part of a balanced diet can help increase your intake of important nutrients like protein and iron, and it can also have additional health benefits—it may even decrease your risk of developing some chronic diseases. Contrary to rumor, there is no reliable scientific evidence to support that consuming soy products is harmful to your health. In fact, there is a significant amount of studies that support that the plant-based compounds found in soy are beneficial.

    Reminder:

For recycling, please use the large yellow and blue containers with tops located throughout Sunsport.
Pick up would be much easier if trash is placed in the trash bins in closed plastic bags. You may leave small yellow and blue bins or bags roadside at your lot as long as the items are completely clean. You may also use the main dumpster area.
However, please place discarded carpeting, furniture, appliances, or any other large item on the side of the roadway near your lot, not in the dumpster. The maintenance team will pick up such large items.

To help Sunsport and the environment, *please deposit aluminum cans in a special bin with a round hole in the top in the main recycling area.
    • The yellow containers are for paper and flattened cardboard
    • The blue containers are for aluminum cans*, glass, juice boxes, and plastics except styrofoam, bags, and utensils.
    • Deposit other trash in the large grey or black trash bins with tops.
Please secure all trash cans tightly since raccoons are skilled at opening containers and making large messes. Thanks.

    Hey What is Permaculture?

    Geoff Farmer:
Permaculture is a philosophy of design for creating a sustainable human culture. That is, it's a way of thinking about how we set up the support systems around us: shelter, food, water, energy, society and business. Well designed permaculture systems allow us to live as a beneficial part of the ecosystems around us.

10 Most Scandalous Nudes in Art

Nude representations of men and women caused scandals throughout centuries (female nudes of course more often, unfortunately)

Often dressed-up in a religious or mythological costume they often violated “the good taste” of the epoch because of their open straightforwardness.
In celebration of the wildly erotic tendencies of artists over the centuries, we’ve put together a list of the most jaw-dropping-ly female nudes painting. Are you ready for a ride?

Titian, Venus of Urbino, 1538, Galleria degli Uffizi, Florence

    Venus of Urbino, Titian

Mark Twain once called Titian’s Venus “the foulest, the vilest, the obscenest picture the world possesses.” – just look at Venus’ hand, it looks very suspicious. It is probably a portrait of a courtesan, perhaps Zaffetta. Even the indefatigable finder of allegories drawing on Renaissance Neoplatonism, the art historian Edgar Wind, had to admit that in this case “an undisguised hedonism had at last dispelled the Platonic metaphors” With her unabashed nudity and strong gaze into the viewers’ eyes, the nude female in this 1538 work of art is undeniably erotic.

    Praxiteles, Aphrodite

Although the Greeks had no problem showing their male Gods and figures without clothes, the same rules did not apply to women. Even Aphrodite, the Greek Goddess of love, was always sculpted wearing loosely-draped robes. But in the mid-fourth century BCE, a sculptor named Praxiteles gave form to a naked Aphrodite. His Aphrodite, undressing for her bath and completely naked, her right hand modestly covering her pubic area, was the first life-size representation of a nude female form.

Katsushika Hokusai’s “The Dream of the Fisherman’s Wife”

This print – a perfect example of Japanese shunga art – depicts a fisherman’s wife deriving pleasure from a rather unique encounter with an octopus. But do you recognize the artist’s name? Yes, the man behind “The Great Wave off Kanagawa” had more than landscape likenesses up his sleeve.

The Origin of the World, Gustave Courbet

This realistic, graphical eroticism in the name of painting still has the power to shock and trigger censorship. For example, it gets banned on Facebook whenever we publish the article “Few Comments On Courbet’s Origin of the World“. Gustav tried to violate the public and he loved doing that via his paintings. But he never dared to cross the lines. He made ‘The origin of the world’ in protest against the Academy, where students were trained to draw the statues with stereotyped and camouflaged bodies. Courbet hated this formula and said he could only paint what he saw.
