COVID-19 Update
Sunsport is open to guests.
The Covid 19 Virus Pandemic is spreading in Palm Beach County. The safety of the members of the Sunsport community and guests is paramount. At this time, there have been no known cases at Sunsport. However the virus is asymptomatic; we are taking all precautions. Sunsport will enforce the recently adopted County ordinance. We will be particularly mindful at events such as the 4th of July Celebration, Drum Circles, Movie Nights, and the Family Children's Camp.

Much work has been done on the golf cart and walking nature trails. They are fantastic. People now take daily golf cart rides past new banana circles, ponds, and native trees. Invasive Brazilian Pepper trees are being cut back.

Special thanks to John Dodge who has spent many volunteer hours on this amazing transformation.

Please remember to place non-recyclable trash in bags tied at the top before placing it the bins. Bags should be light enough to lift easily. Large items or large quantities of out of date food should be taken to the main dumpster with large items placed outside the dumpster.
Reminder:
To help Sunsport and the environment, please deposit aluminum cans in a special bin with a round hole in the top in the main recycling area.
- The yellow containers are for paper and flattened cardboard
- The blue containers are for aluminum cans, glass, juice boxes, and plastics except styrofoam, bags, and utensils.
- Deposit other trash in trash cans.
Please secure all trash cans tightly since raccoons are skilled at opening containers and making large messes. Thanks.

Sunsport's Naturist Family Youth Camp July 11-19
Spaces for campers are still available. Children aged 4-17 and their families will experience a fun week of growth and community emphasizing interpersonal relations skills, learning, and creativity in a natural environment.
Due to the Covida pandemic, we are taking great precautions to maintain a safe environment. Social distancing will be practiced; masks will be required any time campers and counselors are indoors or within 6 feet of each other.
As usual we will have a fun-filled day playing in the sand and surf at a clothing-optional ocean beach, a camp variety show, crafts, nature exploration, canuding and kayaking, non-competitive sports, producing a claymation video, campfires, and lots of pool time, with individual attention for each camper. There will be special activities best done clothesfree such as a slip-n-slide with paint, tie dye, water balloon throwing, gooey games, and a 10 foot ice cream sundae with as much landing on bodies as in mouths. Workshops on being proud of who we are, body acceptance, communication skills, and conflict resolution will help establish an atmosphere of caring about each other's feelings and positive relationships.
Parents are encouraged to attend the camp participating as much or as little as they like. Again this year, Swann will be camp director. Most of the favorite counselors will be returning.
A gallery of camp photos, articles, and claymation videos from past years are on Sunsport's website. Enrollment forms are also on Sunsport's website. If your child is attending, please email me at morleynaturist@hotmail.com.

Bambusa lako
Babies now, watch as they grow.
The canes will get bigger and turn black.
Many people consider Timor black bamboo to be the most beautiful of all of the bamboos.
The shiny black culms look like polished ebony, which contrast with the bright green of the leaves, making for a very graceful display.
Bambusa lako is truly one of the most beautiful of all of the bamboo plants. The culms are dark green when they first emerge, darkening eventually to shiny ebony after a year.

Hey What is Permaculture?
Permaculture is a philosophy of design for creating a sustainable human culture. That is, it's a way of thinking about how we set up the support systems around us: shelter, food, water, energy, society and business. Well designed permaculture systems allow us to live as a beneficial part of the ecosystems around us.

Claude Monet
Bathers are the paintings Monet never did. He never painted nudes—and he collected nudes
Paul Cézanne, Bathers, 1890-92
“It was a private passion,” Mathieu says. “There was nothing to do with the market, nothing to do with supporting friends, nothing to do with friendship. Monet wanted to collect pieces he considered major and all of them are linked to his main concern, Impressionist painting, but all of them are different from what he did.”
Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Young Girl Bathing, 1892
Mathieu gives the example of Young Girl Bathing (1892), which she estimates is one of the most beautiful nudes Renoir ever painted, and is now in the Robert Lehman collection of the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. Monet acquired it from Durand-Ruel in 1900 for 6,000 francs, after it was up for sale at another Paris gallery, Bernheim-Jeune. As its title suggest, it pictures a solitary nude female, in her early teens or perhaps even younger, seated before a spirited Impressionist backdrop including jade-green trees that compliment her flowing auburn hair.
“When Monet had enough money to buy Renoir on the market, he bought bathers,” she explains. “Bathers are the paintings Monet never did. He never painted nudes—and he collected nudes. It’s a complementary point of view of his own.”......MORE
